Accommodation and bookings

InHouse Event Solutions, the official accommodation provider for the MEA 2025 Conference, has arranged special discounted rates at the conference hotel QT exclusively for conference attendees.

Discounted rates are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The conference is being held during school holidays to enable you to bring your families along, but because of this we also recommend you book your accommodation at the time of registration.

Enquiries regarding your booking

We would love to help you with any enquiries regarding accommodation including rooms that show as FULL on the system, and information on booking interconnecting rooms at QT. 

Please contact Nicola Gardiner at InHouse Event Solutions. Nicola will then be able to work directly with the hotel to check accommodation availability and dates at the contracted rates ensuring everyone can stay together at the conference venue.

Cancellation and payment

A valid credit card is required to secure your booking, but payment is separate from the conference and will be handled by the hotel. 
Cancellation fees start to apply from 7th August 2025. After this date, if InHouse Event Solutions cannot reallocate your room, you will be charged 100% of the accommodation rate. No-shows are also subject to full charges.

InHouse Event Solutions has been appointed by Master Electricians Australia as the official accommodation booking agent for the MEA Conference 2025

Accommodation has been secured at competitive rates at QT Gold Coast - the conference venue.

PARKING: $20 per night (usually $40) for QT hotel guests, available on a first come first serve basis, payment is made at reception, or on exit.

We strongly suggest you book early as the conference is being held in Qld school holidays.

A valid credit card is required to secure your booking but will not be charged immediately. Payment for accommodation will be charged by the hotel as outlined in the terms and conditions and not by MEA, or InHouse Event Solutions. 

It is essential that you read the read the terms and conditions prior to selecting your property so you are fully aware of all charges relating to deposit, amendments, cancellations and no shows.

Rates from $269 per night. QT Gold Coast - The Conference Venue, is a 5 star retro-glam, designer hotel featuring a luminous pool, sophisticated restaurants, a late night bar and an indulgent spa. The hotel is the perfect size to provide wonderful areas to gather with other delegates during the event and will be the venue for the Sunday night cocktail function. All conference sessions will be held within the hotel. The QT Gold Coast is only a two-minute walk from Surfers Paradise Beach. When the time comes to venture further, the hotel provides complimentary retro bicycles to explore. Cavill Avenue is nearby, along with bustling Broadbeach and the Gold Coast’s famous theme parks, all within a 30-minute drive. A Coles supermarket is a few minutes walk away. HOTEL FEATURES & AMENITIES: Beachfront, Restaurant & Bar, Outdoor Pool, Gym & Spa, Babysitting Services BREAKFAST: Breakfast is an additional $30 per adult (usually $49) and $19 per child. Terms and conditions

CANCELLATION: In the case of individual room cancellations made between 08/08/2025 and 24/09/2025, 100% of accommodation will be charged for each cancelled accommodation room. No shows - 100% of total accommodation per room will be charged. All cancellations must be made in writing to conferences@inhouseeventsolutions.com and are only confirmed if written acknowledgment has been received from InHouse Event Solutions. PAYMENT: The credit card used to guarantee this reservation will be charged in the case of deposit payment, cancellation and/or non arrival at the Hotel as outlined in the terms and conditions. The credit card may also be charged for any unsettled charges post stay. Guests will be charged the full balance of accommodation and breakfasts 45 days prior to arrival, and any incidentals will be charged upon check out. The hotel will require a $100 pre-authorisation on check in for all individual guests, unless a company credit card has been provided for all charges prior to check in. Rates are expressed in Australian dollars per night and are inclusive of GST. All subsidiary charges (car parking, breakfast rates, etc.) are subject to change without notice. A surcharge applies to all card transactions. If a third party is paying for your accommodation please ensure all correct paperwork and/or invoices have been returned/paid prior to check in. If the Hotel has not received this information you will be asked to settle your accommodation costs upon arrival.

The rate has been provided as run of house and will either have a city or an ocean view, some with balconies, the hotel will allocate the rooms only (no request in advance). Bathrooms have a shower, Dyson hairdryer, Missoni bathrobes, and Kevin Murphy amenities. Bedding configuration is king bed. Saturday Room Rate $299 BREAKFAST: Breakfast is an additional $30 per adult (usually $49) and $19 per child. Breakfast is compulsory for all attendees (including children).
